Yes ladies and gents, this is what this group is about. Not just taking quality, but helping to FEATURE upcoming, always learning and improving artist as well.
I was so proud when I found this. I really hope many of you see now that a DD is not an award, it's a feature. It's something someone was inspired or felt something and wanted to share with many.
NOW!!! Back to business!
We've got most of the new moderators in, and we're cleaning up some last minuet details. We'll be opening the gallery again on tuesday!!!

Edit: Add to your faves so the whole of DA can maybe see this on the top 5 at the bottom.

Admins needed to help vote on submissions
Dear members,
We are looking for new admins to help us vote on submissions. If you regularly suggest Daily Deviations and feel you have a good handle on the quality of artwork that is typically featured as a Daily Deviation, send us a note with the following information:
1. What type of artwork you have expertise in (digital art, photography, literature, etc.)
2. Five thumbnails of artwork you believe is Daily Deviation worthy (these of course cannot already be DDs, and should not already be in our group gallery)
:star: If we have not replied to your application within 14 days, it unfortunately means we have decided to go with someone els
Submissions closed until January 5th
Hey guys!
We've got a huge backlog of submissions, so we will be temporarily closing submissions so that we can handle this.
Btw, we could use more moderators to help us vote, more info here: https://www.deviantart.com/getdailydeviations/journal/New-Moderators-needed-443711119
Happy holidays!
An apology - and asking for your input!
Hey guys,
I want to apologize for having let this group die out a bit over the past year. Life got crazy and I just didn't have the time to be here too often, and while we have some amazing admins that I thank so much for sticking around, we really need more admins to help manage this group. That being said, I'd like to ask you, our members, if you'd like us to attempt to revive? Our Super group status is gone, so the first step would be opening up donations for it. The next step would be to find more admins, and then clean up the backlog and start our art features, interviews, contests and of course get back to accepting and requesting more

I really like the message behind this journal -- I've been disgusted by the comment that people leave on DDs talking about how much they don't deserve it and treating it like it should be an award.
The only problem I have with this though is that it's coming from this group. I feel like so many submission are rejected on the basis that they're not good enough that it really goes against the idea of what this journal is promoting. The few pieces of art that tickle through really embody perfect and the elitist, and not little froggies like this.
